Would you believe it if we said that this shiny blue horse is a 32-foot-tall fiberglass sculpture that towers over everyone who makes their way into Denver International airport? The artwork is officially named “Mustang,” but the people of Denver started calling it “Blucifer,” and that name stuck.
Blucifer is a point of pride for the airport. And an airport exec once described it as the fierce blue mustang that serves to protect travelers and guard the airport. Now we’re not sure how much protection anyone could get from an inanimate object like this. But it’s the thought that counts.
