Here are Some of the Most Iconic Grammy Moments of All Time

1975: Simon & Garfunkel Reunion Part 1

The ’70s saw the Grammys capture the hearts of many audiences. In 1975, the presenters, Paul Simon and John Lennon, were hilarious. Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel had split in 1970, avoiding questions about reuniting. On the other hand, Lennon had also split apart from The Beatles.

After announcing all the nominees for the prestigious Record of the Year Awards, they finally announced that the winner, Olivia Newton-John, was not in, but Garfunkel was there to receive the award for her. Lennon jokingly asked Simon if he and Garfunkel were reuniting, and he turned and asked Garfunkel, “I thought I told you to wait in the car,” to round up the night’s mood.
