Herta Müller

Since the early ’90s, the German writer Herta Müller has become an established international figure known for her work as a writer; her published works have been translated into over 20 different languages. Most of her writings showcase the harshness and complications of life in Romania under the dictator Nicolae Ceaușescu.

Müller received the Nobel Prize in Literature in 2009 for her commendable work in novels, essays, and poetry. Some of her notable works include “The Land of Green Plums,” “The Fox Was Ever the Hunter: A Novel,” and “The King Bows and Kills.” The writer has received many accolades, including the Best Translated Book Award.
