For those who don’t know, people from New Zealand often refer to themselves as “Kiwis,” the national bird of the country. So, it makes sense that McDonald’s would release the Kiwiburger in New Zealand.
The Kiwiburger is the chain’s take on the traditional New Zealand burger, which one can find throughout pubs in the country. The McDonald’s patty comes topped with a fried egg, tomato, beetroot, cheese, lettuce, onions, and both mustard and ketchup. Sadly, because this is the only item that uses beetroots on any McDonald’s item anywhere, it is subject to the occasional discontinuation.
