International Memphis Depay kon al over heel de wereld zijn talenten aan het publiek tonen en heeft daarbij al in heel wat verschillende woning geleefd. Tijdens zijn verblijf bij Olympique Lyon, veroorzaakte hij al wat ophef toen hij voor bijna 700 euro per nacht in een hotel verbleef. Maar met zijn salaris zal dat echter nooit een probleem hebben opgeleverd. Een paar jaar geleden nog, kocht een enorme luxueuze penthouse in Rotterdam voor 2,4 miljoen euro. Een koopje, want de vraagprijs werd vastgesteld op 4 ton extra. Voor die prijs krijg de voetballer 528 vierkante meter woonruimte verspreid over 6 kamers, waaronder vier slaapkamers en twee badkamers, inclusief een eigen sauna en een jacuzzi, een moderne woonkeuken, en naast een privé bioscoop ook een aparte tv-kamer.
