Naar verluidt, zou Sting het Verenigd Koninkrijk verlaten hebben, omdat hij teveel op jaloerse blikken werd getrakteerd omwille van het fortuin dat hij verzameld. Hoe het ook zij, de man heeft naast een eigendom in in New York van 21 miljoen dollar, hun 16e eeuwse Villa Il Palagio in Figline Valdarno in Toscane van een paar miljoen euro en natuurlijk ook een strandhuis in Malibu, ook nog steeds een leuk optrekje in het Engelse Wiltshire. Het enorme domein in Engeland is al sinds 1990 in bezit van Sting en zijn vrouw Trudy, en beslaat maar liefst 325 hectare. De zanger durft wel eens zich te verstoppen in één van de vele kamers van het optrekje om zich te verdiepen in nieuwe muziek of oude hits. Gezien de ligging, zal hij er in ieder geval geen last hebben van jaloerse blikken.
