Het is ondertussen algemeen bekend dat de Nederlandse trots in het formule 1 racen, Max Verstappen, zijn eigen land heeft ingeruild voor een woonst in Monaco. Met het vele prijzengeld dat hij de afgelopen jaren kon binnenhalen, besloot hij een optrekje aan te kopen in de peperdure wijk Fontvieille. Niet alleen kan hij er genieten van een adembenemend zicht op de zee, hij heeft een helihaven ter beschikking die hem in een mum van tijd naar Nice brengt en natuurlijk is er ook gedacht aan ruimte voor al die dure wagens. De jonge Verstappen liet de inrichting van zijn woonst aan zijn moeder over en die heeft alvast een hele goede smaak. Alhoewel de prijs van zijn woning niet bekend werd gemaakt, zijn vergelijkbare panden in de omtrek voor niet minder dan 16 miljoen euro van eigenaar gewisseld. Je kan er dus vanop aan dat Verstappen diep in de buidel moest tasten om daar te kunnen wonen.
