Here are Some of the Most Iconic Grammy Moments of All Time

1965: The Beatles Dominate

The Beatles were an English rock band that was comprised of John Lennon, Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, and George Harrison. The band started in 1960, and by 1964, they had achieved widespread recognition and unprecedented levels of success. It was no surprise that the same year, “the Fab Four,” as they were nicknamed, dominated the seventh annual Grammy Awards.

The Beatles managed to bag two awards; Best Performance By A Vocal Group for “A Hard Day’s Night” and Best New Artist. They made their Grammy debut performing “I’m Happy Just to Dance With You” on “The Best on Record,” a televised special for the seventh Grammys in 1965.
