Here are Some of the Most Iconic Grammy Moments of All Time

1962: Judy Garland’s “Judy and Carnegie Hall”

Judy Garland made history at the 1962 Grammys after bagging four awards in the same event. This came as a surprise, as in 1959, when the inaugural Grammys were held, she had been told by doctors that she couldn’t perform anymore. This was the perfect comeback after a setback; she must look back and be proud of her work.

In 1961, at the age of 38, Garland made her Carnegie Hall debut. Her performance was branded “Perfection” and “the greatest night in show business history.” The following year at the Grammys, the two-record recording of the performance won five Grammys, including album of the year and best female vocal performance.
