1990: Milli Vanilli Stripped

By the 39th annual Grammy Awards, Frank Sinatra had become one of the most popular faces at the Grammys. This is no surprise, as he is one of the most defining voices in modern-day music. However, in the 1994 awards show, he and the presenter, Bono, were the talk of the show after their exploits that night.

While most Grammys are known for their sense of humor, this one went too far. Bono made his remarks on Sinatra’s win, and when Sinatra made his own, his speech was cut off, much to the annoyance of the audience, as the National Academy explained that it was to avoid controversy.
