Thomas Kretschmann, geboren 1962
Thomas Kretschmann stammt aus der ehemaligen DDR und stach in seiner Jugend als talentierter Schwimmer hervor. Er errang mehrere Meistertitel in dieser Disziplin. Doch sein Leben nahm eine radikale Wendung, als er die Entscheidung traf, in den Westen zu fliehen.
Dort widmete er sich einer neuen Leidenschaft: der Schauspielerei. Er begann seine Karriere auf der Theaterbühne, bevor er sich auch in Film und Fernsehen einen Namen machen konnte. Seine Rollen brachten ihm internationale Anerkennung ein und ermöglichten ihm den internationalen Durchbruch. Kretschmann glänzte in Filmen wie “Der Pianist”, “Der Untergang” und “Blade II”. Heute lebt Thomas Kretschmann in Los Angeles und hat sich zusätzlich als Fotograf einen Namen gemacht.
