Faryd Mondragón, 43 Jahre und 3 Tage, Kolumbien
Der 1,89 Meter große, kolumbianische Torwart wurde am 21.06.1971 geboren und galt damit ab dem Jahr 2014 mit einem Alter von knapp über 43 Jahren als der älteste WM-Spieler, bis er vier Jahre später durch den Ägypter El Hadary abgelöst wurde. Heute steht er in dieser Rangliste auf Platz 2.
Den ersten, seiner insgesamt vier WM-Einsätze, hatte der Keeper am 15.06.1998 bei der WM in Frankreich gegen Rumänien. Insgesamt hielt Mondragón seinen Kasten zwei Mal komplett sauber. Bei seinem letzten WM-Einsatz am 24.06.2014 in Brasilien wurde der Keeper für fünf Minuten eingewechselt und holte sich damit einen Platz in dieser Rangliste.
