Alive And Shining: The World’s Oldest Golden Age Stars That Will Be Remembered Forever

Arlene Dahl – Born In 1925 – My Wild Irish Rose

Like many of the finest performers, Arlene Dahl began her career on Broadway. MGM recognized her after only two appearances and signed her to star in “My Wild Irish Rose” with the famous Dennis Morgan.

The film was a box office success, and MGM quickly signed her to a long-term contract, and she appeared in megahits such as the original “Journey to the Center of the Earth” adaptation and “The Outriders.” A few years later, Dahl opted to take a break and concentrate on caring for her family in the ’70s, and she made a modest reappearance in the ’00s before retiring in 2012 to celebrate her golden years.
