Burton Gilliam – Born In 1938 – Blazing Saddles

Undoubtedly, actor Burton Gilliam enjoys one of Hollywood’s most interesting careers. He began his career as a wrestler in the Coast Guard, dominating 201 of his 217 contests. Gilliam became a fireman after exiting the Coast Guard and dabbled in acting. His major breakthrough came in the mid-’70s when he co-starred in two hits: “Paper Moon” and Mel Brooks’s “Blazing Saddles.”

Gilliam then quit firefighting to feature in films like the 1990 “Back to the Future Part III” and television shows like “Charlie’s Angels.” The actor appeared in the 2017 film “The Lucky Man.” He was interviewed in a 2022 YouTube video for the channel The Horror Nerd.
