Marco Roelofs – 49 Jaar Oud
Marco Roelofs, punkrockzanger en gitarist, heeft misschien niet de bekendheid die hij verdient. Hij is niet alleen de frontman van De Heideroosjes, maar ook een getalenteerde presentator, schrijver en theatermaker. Interessant genoeg, is de bekendheid van Roelofs internationaal bijna gelijk aan die in Nederland. De Heideroosjes hebben concerten gehad in landen als de Verenigde Staten, Japan, Afrika en over heel Europa. De band genoot immense populariteit in de punkscene gedurende de jaren ’90. Bekend om hun onverzettelijke punkrock-ethos, eisten ze contractueel dat een CD van De Heideroosjes niet meer dan 25 gulden mocht kosten, tot grote blijdschap van de financieel beperkte 15-jarige punkrock-fans in Nederland. Marco, nu 49 jaar oud, blijft onverminderd actief. Hoewel De Heideroosjes nu gewoon bekend staan als Heideroosjes, blijft hun passie voor het maken van muziek ongewijzigd!
