Alex Van Halen – 70 Jaar Oud
Alex en Eddie Van Halen brachten slechts 9 van hun vormende jaren naar door in Nederland voordat hun hele familie hun koers zette naar Pasadena. Tijdens de jeugd van Alex bereikte rockmuziek zijn glorieuze hoogtepunt. De twee broers voelden zich aangetrokken tot dit ritme en besloten hun weg naar muziek te banen via drums en gitaar. Alex begon zijn muzikale reis als gitarist, maar merkte al snel dat een drumstel meer in harmonie was met zijn innerlijke ritme. Samen met Eddie gaven ze geboorte aan de legendarische band ‘Van Halen’, die snel de aandacht trok van KISS’s Gene Simmons. Met David Lee Roth als hun dynamische frontman, oogstte de band een enorm succes. Vandaag de dag zijn Alex en David nog steeds actief in Van Halen, nu versterkt door de zoon van Eddie.
