Bas van Toor – 88 Jaar Oud
Vrijwel elke Nederlander is bekend met het geliefde duo Bassie en Adriaan, waarbij Bassie in het dagelijks leven door het leven gaat als Bas van Toor. Als multi-getalenteerd individu is hij bekend om zijn rollen als acrobaat, clown, acteur, circusartiest en zanger. Het keerpunt in zijn leven kwam toen hij op 19-jarige leeftijd besloot zich bij het circus aan te sluiten, dit zag hij als zijn weg uit armoede en zijn kans om een beroemde artiest te worden. Na een jaar in het circus keerde hij terug naar huis en wist zijn jongere broer, Aad, te overtuigen om met hem een acrobatenduo te vormen. Oorspronkelijk trokken zij als The Crocksons de aandacht, maar ze zijn uiteindelijk beter bekend geworden als het duo Bassie en Adriaan.
