Believe it or not, one of Hollywood’s most beloved actresses, Drew Barrymore, is a big supporter of no makeup. Over the years, she, like many celebrities on this list, has posted quite a few photos of herself without makeup. Oddly, one received a negative reaction, with some saying that Barrymore brought the whole “no makeup policy” one step too far. Some people just can’t make up their minds!

However, the E.T. the Extra-Terrestial actress isn’t posting the sans-cosmetics photos for her fans, critics, or even herself! They’re for her daughters. “I’m now determined more than ever to show my daughters that aging is a luxury,” she revealed to People. “If we’re lucky, we are all going to age. I just want them to be at peace with who they are and not what they look like.”

Barbara Streisand – 79-Years-Old

Of course, when she became a star in the ’60s and ’70s, singer and actress Barbara Streisand became quite famous for her dramatic cat eye, now quite literally referred to by makeup artists as “the Streisand eye.” However, in more recent years, the star has elected to go without makeup more and more often. The reason? Because she can!

So, what’s the secret to looking fantastic without cosmetics? Well, Streisand says that it’s all about balance. “[Good] exercise and diet allow me to keep my energy up,” she explained in a recent interview with the Harvard Business Review. “When I want to decompress, I watch movies and play games on my computer.” It’s hard to imagine one of the world’s greatest singers playing video games – but, hey, it must work!

Thanks to nearly four decades as a leading actress, Christina Applegate is still one of America’s most popular actresses. From her breakthrough role on Married…With Children to modern hits like Bad Moms and Anchorman, Applegate has essentially done it all! Meanwhile, throughout her 40-plus-ever career, Applegate has rocked nearly every makeup look under the sun!

So, when paparazzi snapped this picture of the actress out in the sun without any makeup on, fans couldn’t believe their eyes. However, as Applegate later explained to InStyle Magazine, the photo represent how she looks most days, referring to herself as “lazy” when it comes to cosmetics. Still, Applegate knows what she won’t be doing again: her ‘80s eyebrows! “I won’t do thick dark brows again — mine were so bad in the ’80s and early ’90s. It looked like I have caterpillars on my face.”
