Kenneth Clarke (Chancellor Of The Exchequer) – £4.9 Million

British diplomat Kenneth Clarke held the positions of Home Secretary (1992 to 1993) and Chancellor of the Exchequer (1993 to 1997). He was also the party chairman of British American Tobacco from 1998 to 2007. Between 1987 and 1988, Clarke was Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster in the Governments of Margaret Thatcher and John Major. He ran for the head of the Conservative Party three times, losing each time (1997, 2001, and 2005).

Public support for him outweighed that of his party, whose Euroskepticism ran counter to his pro-European attitude, according to surveys. From 2010 to 2012, he served as Justice Secretary and Lord Chancellor in the governing coalition of David Cameron.
