Bonneville kept fans very up-to-date over the past year, thanks to several social media posts about his weight loss goals. As it turns out, he hired a personal trainer and nutritionist, who both help him make the changes that led to a 16-pound loss! Now Bonneville looks as though he’s ready to hop into the shoes of James Bond next.

Peter Facinelli – 30 Pounds Lost

Like so many of us, actor Peter Facinelli found himself incredibly bored during the recent COVID-19 lockdowns. Of course, you might know, Facinelli from roles like Dr. Carlisle Cullen in the Twilight series and Donovan on the series Fastlane. However, during the lockdowns, he found himself home alone like everyone else. So the actor decided to lose some weight with the extra time off!

“Everything’s shut down right now, and I wanted to focus on myself … to get as physically fit as I could,” Facinelli recently explained. Even more than working out, the actor says it’s about watching what you eat. His biggest tips? No sugar, and start cooking your meals!

Chaz Bono – 95 Pounds Lost

Before appearing on Dancing with the Stars, actor and activist Chaz Bono, the son of Sonny Bono and Cher, was always known for being a tad overweight. However, his appearance on the dancing competition started a weight loss fire inside Bono that burns to this day. Thanks to regular diet and exercising, he’s down just over 95 pounds as of this writing and is still losing regularly!

“I’d love to do Dancing all over again,” Bono said to ABC News recently, commenting on his weight loss. “I’d do it so much better now than I did then!” Of course, while looking great is one thing, the best side effect of weight loss is the feeling. “I really feel very satisfied and comfortable with the way I eat now, which is amazing, and for me, kind of a miracle,” he said.

Sara Rue – 50 Pounds Lost

Few actors can lead an incredibly successful TV show, let alone two. However, actress Sara Rue is one of the few lucky ones! She first rose to fame in the teen hit sitcom Popular, before moving on to Less Than Perfect, another hugely successful show.

After Less Than Perfect, Rue hosted Shedding for the Wedding, a reality TV show about losing weight before the big day. This hosting foreshadowed Rue’s forthcoming celebrity weight loss. After she decided to lose a few extra pounds, Rue started working on developing a custom diet and exercise plan that she knew she could follow. It worked like a charm, as Rue is now down 50 pounds!

Marie Osmond – 40 Pounds Lost

Singer-turned-TV host Marie Osmond first became popular alongside her family country band, the Osmonds, in the ’60s. However, Marie truly came into her own with her solo career in the ’70s and ’80s. Meanwhile, at the same time, Marie also showed her talent as a TV host in the talent show, Donny & Marie, alongside her twin brother.

Today, though, Marie might be even more famous for her celebrity weight loss than anything else! That’s because she didn’t simply hire a personal trainer and nutritionist, she lost weight by starting on Nutrisystem, a dieting company that ships low-calorie meals directly to your home. Using Nutrisystem, Osmond shed off 45 lbs, and feels incredible! What’s more, she didn’t lose it for herself, either. You see, she said that losing the extra pounds made her a “happier,” and therefore healthier, mom.

Mariah Carey – 25 Pounds Lost

Believe it or not, according to singer Mariah Carey, she never thinks about her weight. “I never weighed myself. People will think I’m a liar, but it’s true,” she told Entertainment Weekly a few years back. “I’m a big-boned girl, I’m tall, and so I always weigh more.” However, her policy against stepping on the scale did not stop the iconic pop star from deciding to lose some weight before her most recent Las Vegas residency.

Unlike many other celebrities, Carey has always remained very private about her personal life, so don’t expect any weight loss tips or workout routines from the singer any time soon. Reportedly, though, sources confirmed to both Entertainment Tonight and USWeekly that the “Vision of Love” singer lost 25 pounds before her residency at Caesar’s Palace!

Jorge Garcia – 130 Pounds Lost

Since actor Jorge Garcia first hit national fame with his portrayal of Hurley on the cult classic Lost, he’s lost a significant amount of weight. In fact, Garcia revealed it was the hit show that allowed him to start losing weight! “I can afford to not live on rum and burritos and take better care of myself,” he told Maxim after losing 30 lbs. “Besides, there were enough people who were waiting for my character to lose weight as a result of being stranded on a desert island.”

Since then, Garcia has continued to lose weight. His most significant loss came in 2016 and 2017 when he dropped a whopping 100 lbs! While exercise certainly helped, Garcia says going 100% vegan made the biggest difference in his life.

Wayne Knight – 117 Pounds Lost

Anyone who lived through the ’90s knows Wayne Knight. In that decade, Knight became one of America’s favorite character actors, thanks to memorable bit parts in major movies like Toy Story and the first Jurassic Park. However, Knight’s role as the diabolical Newman on the hit show Seinfeld truly turned the actor into a household name forever.

Behind the scenes, when Knight decided to lose a few pounds, he also elected to turn his entire life around. According to the actor, he also cut out cigarettes and alcohol, in addition to cutting calories and working out every day. “It’s great to be funny and not be fat funny,” Knight said recently.

John Daly – 115 Pounds Lost

Golf fans either love or hate John Daly. Many love him for his unconventional style and dress, as well as his non-country club attitude. However, some hate the golfer for the same reasons! But, whatever your opinion on Daly, you can’t deny his five PGA Tour wins, or his two crooner music albums, for that matter.

Back in 2009, Daly appeared on golf tournaments looking slimmer than ever. Of course, everyone wanted to know how he’d done it. When asked about the matter, Daly, always a jokester, said that he lost it on a diet of whiskey, popcorn, and cigarettes. The truth is far more believable. In 2008, the pro golfer underwent lap-band surgery. That, combined with no alcohol, led to Daly losing 115 lbs!

Christina Aguilera – 50 Pounds Lost

When pop singer Christina Aguilera lost around 50 pounds recently, fans all around the world congratulated her. However, for Aguilera, it was just more of the same. “I’ve been through the gamut of all things in this business,” she said in an interview. “Being too thin. Being bigger. I’ve been criticized for being on both sides of the scale.”

And even though the “Reflections” singer has elected not to reveal her diet or exercise plan, she does have some advice for those looking for weight loss tips: “I don’t weigh myself — it’s all about how I feel in my clothes. What looks good on one person might not look good on another body type. I happen to be very confident in my own skin. It takes time to get to that place, but it’s all about embracing yourself and your body.”

Television star Mark Labbett has made quite a name for himself in Tinseltown after jumping the pond. For those not in the know, Labbett became famous as The Beast on the hit trivia show, The Chase. One of the most talented trivia players globally, the show revolves around contestants trying to answer more questions than Labbett in a short period.

Labbett also earned the nickname “The Beast” due to his large size: he weighed in at about 378 pounds at one point! Now, however, thanks to weight loss and dieting, the trivia master has lost over 150 lbs. He’s sure to be playing a lot more games of trivia in his life now!

Susan Boyle – 30 Pounds Lost

When Scottish singer Susan Boyle first walked onto the stage of Britain’s Got Talent, many immediately discounted her. She didn’t look like what many people thought a “pop star” should look like. However, when Boyle opened her mouth and a booming, pitch-perfect opera voice emerged, she became an overnight sensation. Now, Boyle has multiple hit albums and tours under her belt.

However, while Boyle admits she never struggled with her weight, the singer knew she needed a change when she received a Type-2 diabetes diagnosis. So, she tackled the challenge head-on by eliminating sweets and adding daily exercise to her routine. Now, she walks at least two miles every day! In total, Boyle’s lost 30 pounds and is proud of it!
