We don’t usually think of established actresses like Drew Barrymore struggling with weight issues. However, the actress said on The Late Show with James Corden that, after separating from her husband in 2016, he experienced some serious weight problems.
While filming Netflix’s Santa Clarita Diet, Barrymore even asked the producers if she could drop 20 pounds without it affecting her character. The producers gave Barrymore the get-go, so the actress sought out medical-grade help. She hired a nutritionist Dr. Kimberly Snyder, who helped her develop a personal low-carb diet to achieve her goals. Barrymore isn’t the only one Snyder’s helped, either, Dr. Oz, Reese Witherspoon, and Kerry Washington all swear by her products and books!
Chris Pratt – 60 Pounds Lost

When actor Chris Pratt appeared in Guardians of the Galaxy, he definitely caught the world off guard. The actor, who rose to fame on the hit sitcom Parks and Recreation, had dropped about 60 pounds for his superhero role in the film, gaining a six-pack in the process.
Of course, the next natural question on everyone’s mind was: how did he do it? For Pratt, the answer is pretty basic: diet and exercise. “I eat that hamburger, and that’s 1,200 calories, and I’m gonna work out tomorrow and burn 800 calories. I may as well eat a salad here, still do that workout, and then I’m actually making progress,” the actor told magazine Men’s Health. Well, you can’t argue with that kind of logic!
Ethan Suplee – 300 Pounds Lost

Actor Ethan Suplee might have the most incredible celebrity weight loss story of all time. After the former Boy Meet World actor hit 550 pounds, and doctors needed to use a special scale to weigh him, Suplee knew he had to turn his life around. “I was utterly horrified,” Suplee told The Today Show.
Although he’s now lost 300 pounds and started a weight loss podcast, American Glutton, Suplee says the formula is simple: diet, exercise, and determination win the day. “The main thing I had to do was make sure I didn’t eat more calories than I expended each day. And guess what? Foods that were nutritious — dark leafy greens, chicken, salmon — also tended to be much lower in calories than, say, a two-patty Super Star,” Suplee explained.
Adam Richman – 70 Pounds Lost
For years, Adam Richman hosted the show Man vs. Food. In case you can’t tell by the name, the show revolved around Richman attempting to devour massive eating challenges from around the United States. Needless to say, it had quite a negative impact on Richman’s physical well-being. In fact, the Food Network owner, Ken Lowe, even spoke out about concerns over the host’s health.

The Jay and Silent Bob star is feeling “wonderful” since losing 58 pounds after suffering a massive heart attack in 2018. “I started at 256, and I’m 198. So what is that, 58 at this point?” Smith told Us Weekly. “I honestly never thought I’d get to even 200, so getting under it is crazy town.”

The writer-director revealed that he changed his diet and started working out regularly after that terrifying night in February 2018. Now a Weight Watcher ambassador, Smith has been following a vegan diet and documenting his celebrity weight loss journey on social media. “Eat green, and it just falls off,” he told Us Weekly.
Chaz Bono – 95 Pounds Lost
Before appearing on Dancing with the Stars, actor and activist Chaz Bono, the son of Sonny Bono and Cher, was always known for being a tad overweight. However, his appearance on the dancing competition started a weight loss fire inside Bono that burns to this day. “It was explained to me before I did [Trainwreck] that if you weigh over 140 pounds as a woman in Hollywood and you’re on the screen, it will hurt people’s eyes. So I lost some weight to do that, but never again,” Schumer said to People. So, the comedian then hired a personal trainer to develop a healthy eating plan and exercise routine. The result? Schumer dropped 40 pounds!

If I eat very rich foods I just eat them in moderation,” Bure shared. Even though she admitted she went through a rocky start, Miller now has a handle on the difficult lifestyle changes. All that effort paid off, as she dropped from a size 24 size to a size 16. More importantly, Miller gets to continue doing what she loves the most: teach dance!
Kathleen Turner – Undisclosed Weight Loss
Iconic actress Kathleen Turner began to put on some pounds about three decades into her career. In fact, the actress has admitted that it took her by surprise, as Turner always thought her metabolism would keep up with her!
