These Sirens Are Wearing Zero Clothes and Maximum Chaos Instead

Couture Crawled Out of Cocoons

Wings took human form at IMATS 2011 and made everyone else look underdressed. Covered in sweeping pink segments trimmed in black and white dots, this butterfly-inspired transformation fluttered across Nelly Recchia’s body with unreal precision. The shoulders sprouted petal-like scales, each one looking freshly hatched from a sci-fi garden.

Her headpiece flared out like an alien crown, tying the whole fantasy together with a stare that said she’d fly circles around you. Nothing about it feels soft, even with all the color. Every inch is symmetrical, layered, and intentional, with Nelly pulling off an insect queen that belongs more on a runway than a branch.
