Southwest Airlines opened its doors in 1967, and like most businesses, it has undergone a series of changes over the years. But the most prominent is the standard of modesty that determined the outfits of its flight attendants.

For example, in the early days, the airline pushed forward a “Long Legs and Short Nights” marketing campaign. And in that ad, the flight attendants wore go-go boots and mini-skirts like the ones these ladies have on in this photo.
