Richest Sports Stars Today

A star athlete at the University of Wisconsin, current NFL star Russel Wilson has played for the Seattle Seahawks since 2012. Of course, Wilson’s now most famous for the Super Bowl ring around his finger, which he earned in 2013. The win pushed Wilson to A-list celebrity status, earning him plenty of major endorsements from brands like Nike. Now, he’s worth an incredible $115 million!

However, unlike many of the other wealthiest sports stars in the world, Wilson is not too picky about what endorsements he takes on. For instance, between 2018 and 2019, he made $90 million from endorsements alone. That’s nearly double what most of his fellow players earn. Add onto that his “regular” NFL salary of $35 million a year, and it no surprise he’s one of the wealthiest sports stars in the world!

Alex Morgan – $3 Million Net Worth

Some consider soccer star Alex Morgan, the US Women’s National Team captain, the greatest female player in the history of the sport. Even better than Mia Hamm! While we’ll let you decide if that’s true or not, it’s easy to see why people think that. From her college career to her performance at the 2012 London Olympics, Morgan has proven herself time and time again!

Along the way, Morgan started a rather interesting side-career: she became a children’s books author. She created the children’s series The Kick, which debuted on the New York Times Bestseller list after the release of the first book. Morgan’s salary and sales have also made her one of the richest stars in soccer, with a net worth of $3 million!
