So, how early do you need to be at the airport? USA Today asked a Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport spokesperson the same question, and she came up with a satisfying answer. Heather Lissner recommended getting there two hours earlier for domestic flights and three hours earlier for international flights.
That’s balanced and quite reasonable. Getting to the airport too late can be very stressful, and getting there too soon can be very dull. The way-too-early birds in the picture do look like they’re way too anxious to catch their flight! At least nobody will miss the airplane, that’s for sure.
