Gitte Hænning — 1946
Die dänische Sängerin und Schauspielerin Gitte Hænning schaffte es vor allem in ihrer Heimat im hohen Norden zu eine der erfolgreichsten Volksängerinnen ihres Landes zu werden. Aber nicht nur in Dänemark, sondern auch im deutschsprachigen Raum fand die Dänin auf Anklang. Mit ihrem Hit “Ich will ’nen Cowboy als Mann”, den sie neben einer dänischen Fassung auch auf Deutsch einsang, wurde sie 1963 zu einer der beliebtesten Interpretinnen des deutschsprachigen Schlagers.
Gitte ist aber nicht nur beim Schlager geblieben. Ihr Erfolg führte nicht nur dazu, dass sie auch als Schauspielerin tätig wurde sondern seit den 1980er Jahren tvor allem mit ihrer Musik experementiert. Heute umfasst ihr Musik-Repertoire außerdem neben dänischen Volksliedern und deutschen Schlagern auch Pop-Song, Blues, Jazz und Musicals.
