FABIO FOGNINI
Fabio Fognini è un tennista 35 enne di Sanremo (Imperia) considerato uno dei più grandi giocatori italiani nelle classifiche ATP, avendo raggiunto il 9°posto in singolare nel 2019 e il 7° posto in doppio nel 2015. Fognini è l’unico tennista italiano a essere entrato nella top ten in entrambe le specialità. L’atleta ligure da bambino era indeciso su quale sport volesse praticare: inizialmente si era buttato nel calcio come attaccante ma poi il padre Fulvio capi che il ragazzo aveva talento nel tennis puntando moltissimo sul suo allenamento e reclutando i migliori allenatori per seguirlo. In questo modo Fognini è diventato il campione che conosciamo: detiene il record di maggior numero di partite vinte. Nel 2015 il tennista ha ricevuto come onorificenza il collare d’oro al merito sportivo.
