PITA TAUTATOFUA
Pita Tautatofua, 38 enne di Tonga è un taekwondoka e fondista noto per le sue partecipazioni a torso nudo nelle cerimonie di apertura delle olimpiadi di Rio de Janeiro nel 2016 e Pyeongchang in Corea del Sud nel 2018 e ai giochi di Tokyo nel 2020. Pita è molto seguito sui social che ha utilizzato con successo per contattare la sua famiglia, da gennaio rimasta isolata a causa di una violenta eruzione vulcanica. Tautatofua è uno dei pochi atleti che è riuscito a partecipare alle Olimpiadi estive e quelle invernali qualificandosi nel 2018 nello sci di fondo. Anche in Corea del Nord era l’unico rappresentante del Tongo a presentarsi a petto nudo con temperatura scese fino a 15 sotto lo zero. Oggi l’atleta è anche testimonial per l’Unicef a favore dell’infanzia in difficoltà.
