Mick Jagger: A Psychiatric Hospital Porter
The Rolling Stones founding member and lead vocalist Mick Jagger has achieved international fame for his articulate songwriting prowess. Before starting his journey to fame and success in 1960, the legendary rock star worked as a porter at the Bexley Mental Hospital, a psychiatric hospital, as well as a custodian.
When he ultimately comes around to releasing his biography, you’ll find out that his time there wasn’t without juicy episodes. Unfortunately, Jagger, who’s still going strong over six decades later, doesn’t fancy writing his memoir because it’s “simply dull and upsetting.” The former student-employee earned about $7.80 per week for his troubles.
