Jon Stewart: Puppeteer
In a circus show for kids, the performers may also have a puppeteer within their ranks to add some flavor. Years back, that puppeteer would have probably been the accomplished comedian and satirist Jon Stewart, his first gig. Surprisingly, he was a government employee putting on puppet shows for children.
The satirical news presenter and host of “The Problem with Jon Stewart” was performing for kids with special needs, creating sensitivity and awareness of the needs of the disabled. In an interview, he shared that he sadly had to play a blind, cerebral-palsy, hyperactive, and deaf puppet who couldn’t be in a committed relationship.
