Nick Offerman: Carpenter

Having grown closer to his grandfather, actor-comedian Nick Offerman learned some vital life lessons as a carpenter, a gig he still proudly identifies with. His “Parks and Recreation” role of Ron Swanson perhaps describes him more than many would think. The veteran actor constructed props and sets for local theaters using his grandfather’s acquired carpentry skills.

Offerman is still an accomplished woodworker by his own rights, but he has also ventured into film production. The co-host of “Making It” has a woodshop in East Los Angeles where he produces various items, including wooden coasters. He has a fully-fledged manager running the station’s affairs.
