It seems everyone needed a feel-good hit at the start of 2021 – and Ginny and Georgia filled that void! The mother-daughter drama follows 30-year-old Georgia, who relocates her children, 15-year-old Ginny and 9-year-old Austin, to New England after their father passes away. While the show has found itself in hot water due to some not-so-appropriate jokes, Netflix doesn’t seem to mind – it renewed Ginny and Georgia for a second season!
“We are so appreciative of the incredible response and love you all have shown Ginny and Georgia,” showrunner Debra J. Fisher and creator Sarah Lampert said in a statement. “We can’t wait to return to Wellsbury for season 2.”
