Jay and Mavis Leno – 39 Years Together

If you didn’t know, Mavis Leno has been there since the start of her husband’s, famous comedian Jay Leno, career. The two met after one of Jay’s earliest Comedy Store appearances when she saw his set with some friends. Her first thoughts? “Oh my god, that comedian is gorgeous!” Afterward, Mavis felt brave enough to ask for a date, and four years later, the two married.
However, while this love story might seem like blind luck, Jay says it isn’t so. In fact, he has a bizarre theory on why they ended up together. According to the comedian, he’s uniquely attracted to women born on September 5, including his wife. “I don’t know what it is,” he told the Los Angeles Times. “I don’t look for a woman born on September 5, I just wind up attracted to them!”
