Kobe Bryant and Vanessa Laine – 20 Years Together

Legendary basketball icon Kobe Bryant first met his wife, Vanessa Laine, in 1999, nowhere near the basketball court. Believe it or not, the two met while he worked on his debut music album, which Sony ultimately pulled from release. However, while the album deal did not last, Bryant and Laine’s love did.
The two were truly in love as, after just six months of dating, Laine and Bryant engaged. Then, a year later, in 2001, they married in Dana Point, California. According to Laine’s cousin, there was no prenup, as Bryant “loved [Laine] too much for one.” While the two might have endured some public ups and downs, they remained together until Bryant’s untimely and tragic death in 2020.
