LOTTE VERBEEK – MODEL, ACTRICE – AMSTERDAM
Vandaag de dag, is Lotte Verbeek bekend als model en actrice, maar eigenlijk had ze nooit de intentie om in films en series te acteren, maar droomde ze om in Parijs op het podium van een toneel te schitteren. Op een Nederlands Filmfestival werd ze echter benaderd door een scout die haar liet weten dat ze op de minnares van de Paus leek. Ze werd dan ook prompt diezelfde rol aangeboden in de serie The Borgias en kende een wereldwijde doorbraak. Ze trok daarvoor naar Amerika, waar ze zes jaar lang bleef wonen. Aanvankelijk wou ze nooit meer terugkeren, maar uiteindelijk zag ze in dat de meeste producties waarvoor ze werkte, in Europa werden opgenomen en keerde ze terug naar haar geboorteland. Ze koos ervoor om alleen op een appartementje in Amsterdam te gaan wonen en is heel erg terughoudend om haar persoonlijke leven met de pers te delen.
