Delonte West: Making a Comeback

For many years, mental illness and substance abuse issues stopped Delonte West from playing professional basketball. However, now, more than a year after completing the Rebound program, the 38-year-old is once again focusing on the sport that means so much to him.
In early 2022, West began daily training sessions at the world-famous Pat the Roc Basketball Academy in Gaithersburg, Maryland. His goal? To join Ice Cube’s Big 3 league, a professional, 3-on-3 basketball league that features both former NBA players and international players. While training at the Basketball Academy, he has also started sharing advice with the young players there, hoping to help them avoid the same pitfalls he endured.
