It’s heartbreaking to think of what happened after this perfectly timed photo because, by the looks of it, the plane was veering off the cliff and into the water. Luckily, the 168 passengers were all unharmed and only shaken when this commercial flight overshot an icy runway in Turkey in 2018.
This Pegasus Airlines Boeing 737-800 at the Ankara-Trabzon Airport skidded off the airstrip, but fortunately, it didn’t directly hit the Black Sea. The senior pilot told the media and authorities that one of the engines suddenly sped up as it landed, causing the aircraft to head toward the cliff.
