François-Henri Pinault, le président du Groupe Artémis, était venu assister à l’inauguration du Palais Grassi à Venise en Italie lorsqu’il a rencontré Salma Hayek le 29 avril 2006. Cette dernière avait été installée à la table de Pinault, et autant dire que ce dernier a profité de l’occasion pour la séduire.
Il a réussi dans sa démarche sachant qu’ils ont commencé à être en couple la même année et ont eu leur premier enfant ensemble sous le nom de Valentina en 2007 avant de se marier en 2009. Salma explique en outre que c’est son côté romantique qu’elle tend à apprécier le plus dans leur relation.
