However, the home Parton most adores is her large estate in Brentwood, a short drive from Nashville, which she has owned since the early ’80s. Fun fact: once upon a time, Marilyn Monroe also owned a mansion in Brentwood. While Parton enjoys her privacy from behind her home’s gates, she has let slip that the home features a recording studio, tennis courts, and pool!

Looking at pictures of actress Halle Berry’s Hollywood home, you might think you were on some quiet island in the Caribbean, not minutes from bustling L.A. Maybe that’s why, unlike other celebrities, Berry did not merely abandon her home when it needed repairs. Instead, she stuck with it, dropping millions on fixes and extensions.

However, it all paid off! Today, the Mediterranean-style home looks better than ever. It sits on nearly an acre of land and features plenty of open spaces with fresh air and natural light. Plus, with three bedrooms and bathrooms, the house is undoubtedly better for a family, which Berry has, than massive Hollywood parties. Of course, the Gaines’ know how to pick a fixer-upper! After selecting a dilapidated home in Crawford, Texas, just outside of Waco, the couple got to work. The only add-on they did was the master bedroom; everything else was already there! Now, the six-bedroom home looks like an incredible, modern farmhouse. Moreover, the couple completed the whole project for under $1.5 million. That’s a fraction of the cost of most of these celebrity mansions!

Tristan Thompson & Khloe Kardashian – Cleveland, Estimated $1.9 Million

Khloe Kardashian and former hubby Tristian Thompson have quite the house in Cleveland, Ohio, where they spent most of their time. It’s close to the Cleveland Cavaliers stadium, where Thompson plays basketball, and Khloe says she feels “less judged” there.

The 6,000-square-foot home where they lived sits lakeside of Lake Erie and features incredible views. No need for a pool when you live on a lake! It features five bedrooms and seven bathrooms, but matches its sprawling design with a laid-back, simple design, befitting its location. However, now that the couple’s recent split, it is unknown who will end up with the house.

Oprah Winfrey – Montecito, California, Estimated $90 Million

When T.V. host and media mogul Oprah Winfrey purchased her deluxe house in 2001, it cost her $50 million. However, the 23,000-square-foot mansion is now worth around $88 million to $90 million as per a 2012 tax assessment.

The ultra-rich Oprah nicknamed her Montecito, California, home “The Promised Land.” However, it’s just one of the six celebrity mansions she can choose from any time she wishes. Yes, you’ve read that right: six. Initially built in 1912, Oprah’s Neo-Georgian style home features six bedrooms and 14 bathrooms! It also has a gourmet kitchen, a wine cellar, a movie theater, and ten fireplaces. What’s unusual is that Winfrey doesn’t have a swimming pool in her backyard, unlike most celebrity mansions.

Jimmy Kimmel – Hermosa Beach, Estimated $8 Million

When you truly love a location, you don’t just move there yourself – you invite everyone to move there as well! At least, that’s certainly what late-night host and comedian Jimmy Kimmel thinks. Kimmel’s obsession with Hermosa Beach, California, started a few years ago when he purchased the five-bedroom, seven-bath home above for $8 million. Complete with a pool and a walk away from the beach, this home is genuinely a beachcomber’s dream.

However, it seems as though Kimmel didn’t just fall in love with the home, but also Hermosa Beach. A year later, he bought a small beach bungalow on the opposite side of town for a little over $2 million. Then, he purchased his sister-in-law a house around the same time for $2.5 million! There must be something in the water!

Pierce Brosnan – Malibu, Estimated $18.7 Million

Many actors have played James Bond, from Sean Connery to Daniel Craig. However, for some, Pierce Brosnan was the best and will remain so. And Brosnan bought his incredible home in Malibu right after starring what most considered to be his best 007 film, GoldenEye.

The 13,000-foot home features four bedrooms and an incredible 12 bathrooms. However, while that’s all impressive, Brosnan might have something few, if any, other celebrity mansions have. The home features custom, individually hand-made roof tiles, to keep it looking as good as humanly possible. Thankfully, while the 2018 California wildfires came close to Brosnan’s estate, it escaped unharmed.

Leonardo DiCaprio – Belize, Estimated $1.75 Million

Some megastars by mansions or expensive New York apartments with their fortunes. Leonardo DiCaprio, on the other hand, decided to buy an island off the coast of Belize. The island is named Blackadore Caye and is roughly 104-acres in size.

While the island itself cost less than most celebrity mansions, that’s all DiCaprio got: the island. No plumbing, no electricity, no buildings. The actor’s never revealed how much he put into the island, but it’s easily in the millions. However, DiCaprio has a way to make his money back. He’s turning a portion of the island into a residential area and eco-resort. It will feature 36 homes, selling at $5 million each, and 36 resort villas.
