Elton John and David Furnish – 26 Years Together

Legendary singer Elton John and filmmaker David Furnish were among the first U.K.’s LGBTQ couples to form a civil partnership in 2005. However, the pair started dating back in 1993. Despite tabloid gossip about their 15-years age gap, John took the opportunity to propose to Furnish at a dinner party surrounded by family and friends. The two then married in 2014, after the U.K. legalized gay marriage.
Furnish and John share two sons, Zachary Jackson Levon Furnish-John and Elijah Joseph Furnish-John. They were both born through the same surrogate mother. These days, John has retired from touring but still occasionally performs a one-off show. Both John and Furnish also co-run Rocket Pictures, a film studio.
