Ron Howard and Cheryl Alley – 44 Years Together

While almost everyone knows actor-director-producer Ron Howard for one thing or another, few know he’s also part of one of Tinseltown’s greatest love stories. After his breakthrough role on The Andy Griffith Show, Howard elected to take some time to be a normal teenager. So, he went to John Burroughs High School, a public high school, where he met the love of his life, Cheryl Alley. Believe it or not, the two high school sweethearts married in 1975, at the age of 21.
These days, Howard continues to work in Hollywood, Alley works as an author, primarily of children’s books. However, over the years, she has appeared in a few of her husband’s films, including his ’80s hit, Splash.
