Did you know that famed actor Idris Elba loves to spend his free time working as D.J. and honing his musical skills? It’s true! In fact, he loves DJing so much that he helped create a show for Netflix based on the art, Turn Up Charlie. The show follows Elba as the titular Charlie, a struggling D.J. who find a second chance at fame – when he becomes the nanny of a music industry bigwig’s daughter.
While Elba might love DJing, it seems that fans of sitcoms did not. This British comedy failed to chart on Netflix’s top ten listing, and so the streaming giant decided to cancel it after just one season. Thankfully, Elba has plenty of other offers to accept!
