While it started as a string of television films in the 2000s, Good Witch became a hit, feel-good supernatural series for the Hallmark Channel and Netflix in 2015. Starring television queen Catherine Bell, the show followed Cassandra “Cassie” Nightingale a good-hearted enchantress who’s just trying to make her way through life.
Fans might have loved the shows, but rising costs caused Hallmark and Netflix to cancel the show in mid 2021. “Good Witch has enchanted viewers for over a decade with eight original movies, in addition to the seven-season series,” said Randy Pope of Hallmark. “We thank our leads whose chemistry and talent made Good Witch such a beloved and uniquely special viewing experience.” However, there are rumors that Hallmark is considering more Good Witch movies instead. We’ll see!
