Without a doubt, Top Boy has one of the most interesting tales of development ever. The crime series, set in the fictional Summerhouse estate, originally earned two series on Channel 4. Then, the network cancelled it. However, after Canadian rapper Drake professed his love for the show, Netflix decided to purchase the rights and revive it. That’s right! Drake even serves as an executive producer on the continuation.
Since the streaming giant purchased Top Boy in 2018, they’ve produced a single series, the third. However, season four will air later this year, and things look good for a fifth!
