Alive And Shining: The World’s Oldest Golden Age Stars That Will Be Remembered Forever

Gene Hackman – Born In 1930 – The French Connection

Many Hollywood stars become famous in their 20s, but performers like Gene Hackman demonstrate that one can still make it big later in life. He was in his forties when he rose to fame in the ’70s. His breakout performances were in “The French Connection” and “The Poseidon Adventure.”

His popularity grew over time, and he gave standout performances in the films “Mississippi Burning” and “I Never Sang for My Father” in 1988. After appearing in “Welcome to Mooseport” in 2004, Hackman took a break from performing. The “Superman” sequel star narrated two documentaries in 2016 and 2017, “The Unknown Flag Raiser of Iwo Jima” and “We, The Marines,” respectively.
