Alive And Shining: The World’s Oldest Golden Age Stars That Will Be Remembered Forever

Bob Newhart – Born In 1921 – The Bob Newhart Show

The iconic Bob Newhart, referred to as “America’s favorite comic,” rose to prominence in the ’50s and ’60s for his sarcastic brand of humor. At the time, many entertainers employed costumes, paint, and loud noises, which set Newhart apart from other stand-up comics.

It’s no surprise that his 1960 album “The Button-Down Mind of Bob Newhart” became one of the first comedy albums to sell well worldwide! After becoming famous, Newhart began to take on increasingly more TV and film parts, most notably in his sitcom, “The Bob Newhart Show.” In 2013, the star appeared as a guest on the sitcom “The Big Bang Theory.”
