Angie Dickinson – Born in 1931 – Rio Bravo

Angie Dickinson rose to prominence in Hollywood after many years of largely acting in anthology series, thanks to her outstanding role in the film “Gun the Man Down.” She later gained popularity for her parts in “Rio Bravo” and “Big Bad Mama.”

She was featured in “Police Woman” in the ’70s and found fresh success. Her excellence in the film earned her the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress. Dickinson last appeared in the 2009 film “Mending Fences,” effectively marking her retirement from acting. She has, however, appeared in a few documentaries, including 2021’s “King of Cool.” Her working life spanned five and a half decades.
