Die drei Hauptkanäle von Paris – der Canal Saint-Denis, der Canal Saint-Martin und der Canal de l’Ourcq haben, zusammen mit den zusätzlichen Wasserflächen des Bassin de la Villette und des Port de l’Arsenal, eine Gesamtlänge von über 128 Kilometern. Der bekannteste unter ihnen ist der Canal Saint-Martin, der sich über 110 Kilometer erstreckt und die Seine mit dem Canal de l’Ourcq verbindet.
Dieses Netzwerk von Wasserwegen ist ein zentraler Bestandteil von Paris und stellt seit Jahrzehnten aufgrund seiner malerischen Landschaft eine große Attraktion für Einheimische und Touristen dar.
