Thanksgiving is just around the corner in the United States! Usually, that means roasting a turkey in an oven for hours on end. However, if you're looking for something a little different this year, look no further! Famous aluminum foil brand Reynolds Wrap has released three new turkey recipes, inspired by regional hot dog styles - that's right!
Unique Turkey Recipes From Reynolds Wrap

Reynolds Wrap
No questions asked, turkey is the most popular roast meat on Thanksgiving in the United States, beating others, like ham and prime rib, by a mile. However, most Americans make their turkey the same way each year: roasted in the oven, lightly seasoned, and stuffed with delicious stuff. Sure, some people fry their turkeys, but there's not a ton of variation. Until now! To completely revamp the old tradition, the company Reynold Wrap, which makes aluminum foil, parchment paper, and the like, released three unusual turkey recipes. All three are inspired by regional hot dog styles - this is the summer/Thanksgiving mash-up you've been waiting for!
First up, Reynolds Wrap released the recipe for a no-ketchup, Chicago dog style recipe they call the Chicago-Style Turkey Dog. "Mustard fans will drool over this mouthwatering and eye-catching turkey inspired by the classic mustard-indulgent hot dogs of Chicago," the Reynolds Wrap recipe reads. As you can see in the photo above, the Chicago-Style Turkey Dog features a mustard glaze, pickle spears, chopped onions, spicy peppers, and tomato slices.

Borrowed From Hot Dog Styles

For their next hot-dog-inspired turkey, Reynolds Wrap jumped to the East Coast of the United States! They released a sauerkraut-covered New York-style variation. "This turkey packs some serious flavor with an onion powder-based rub that will leave your guests wanting more," the description boasts. As you can see in the photo above, this variation includes a ketchup glaze, onion powder rub, sauerkraut, onions, and some spicy brown mustard topping.
However, Reynolds Wrap has something for everyone - even those who don't love mustard or ketchup. If you're looking for something a little southwestern this Thanksgiving, look no further than the Chili Cheese Turkey Dog. "Inspired by one of the most indulgent hot dog styles, chili lovers can rejoice in loading up their turkey just like they would their favorite chili dog (we won't judge)," Reynolds Wrap wrote about its third Thanksgiving turkey recipe. In addition to its chili powder rub, it also features shredded cheese, onions, and sliced jalapeƱos. Talk about spicy!
Think these turkey recipes are strange? Well, they are just some of the interesting Thanksgiving recipes Reynolds Wrap has released over the years. Before past Thanksgivings, the company has also released recipes for a Flamin' Hot Cheetos turkey, a Mountain Dew bird, a Mac and Cheese variation, and even a Pecan Pie Turkey. That's right! Not to mention a sweet Chocolate Turkey with a chocolate-based BBQ glaze. So, rest assured, if you decide to make a Reynolds Wrap recipe, your Thanksgiving will be unlike any other!
