Super Bowl had already passed the finals, but it’s always time to make some game night snacks! This menu is full of appetizing food both for meat-eaters and vegetarians – and it’s all cooked in an air fryer.
Vegetarian Wings

The game day always gathers a big company of friends. Some of them don't eat meat, for sure, so it's time to experiment with vegan recipes. Vegetarian wings made out of cauliflower are a classic. Have you tried cooking them with tofu, though? Lemon Pepper Tofu “Wings” are cooked both in an air fryer and a microwave, and that gives them a perfect crunch, as well as a delicious chicken nugget-like taste. And it’s not like the recipe requires a list of complicated vegan items – any American will be able to find extra-firm tofu in their fridge or a nearby store. Moreover, the taste always varies. It depends on the type and amount of spices the cook puts in, and the sauce chosen on the side.
Mozzarella Sticks

Mozzarella sticks are another staple for Super Bowl game night. And while they taste alright after coming out of the microwave, frying them in an air fryer will put them to the peak crisp! Mozzarella will become gooey and stretchy inside, while the outside stays crunchy. Usually, microwaving them rids of the usual crisp, while the oven takes too long to cook. Frying in an air fryer is fast and requires almost no effort – make them at home when preparing for the usual Super Bowl party with friends and family. A quick tip: grab Sprouts Farmer’s Market brand organic mozzarella sticks or Whole Foods’ 365 brand mozzarella sticks that topped Insider’s chart.
Air Fried Pickled Red Onions

When served at a bar, onion rings cost too much. At home, though, air-fried onion rings are an undeniable pleasure, especially when they're made from pickled red onions. Every ring had a toothpick in it, transforming them into beautiful and convenient bite-sized snacks. They go well with cilantro ranch dressing, but any dipping sauce will do. The onions themselves don't ask for much preparation, yet, you'll have to go to the store to cook good breading and dressing. And, of course, a few tears shed over a cutting board is a tax for this air-fried goodness.
City Chicken

Despite the name, City Chicken is not even made out of chicken. This Super Bowl appetizer is full of pork! Created during the Depression, these pork nuggets were very cheap to make. Back then, pork didn't cost a thing – and the Eastern European immigrants shaped it into drumsticks before cooking. They are utterly delicious when fried in an air fryer! They can be put on long skewers in line, or individual toothpicks depending on the size of the fryer. Breading depends, too. Use bread crumbs as a classic or experiment with spices and crackers. Serve them with some apple dipping sauce and guests will be full on the Super Bowl night!
These four classic recipes should be enough to entertain a group of friends. So, if Super Bowl games won’t be as fun, at least you’ll have delicious recipes to share.
